Contraception

All the doctors at ISCA are able to discuss and prescribe contraception. Dr Shellock fits Nexplanon (known as Contraceptive Implants) and coils are fitted at The Family Planning clinic.

All Doctors in ISCA are able to prescribe contraceptive pills, carry out pill checks and discuss contraception. Our nurses can give The Depo (injectable) contraception every 12 weeks when due.

If you would like a vasectomy or sterilisation all doctors are able to refer you to the appropriate specialist.

More information on contraceptive choices, click here.

If you need a repeat prescription for the pill please fill in this form and you may not need to see a doctor or nurse

Contraceptive coils offer an excellent long term reversible contraception.

Dr Davidson is able to fit them in surgery. For more details, please click here.

Contraceptive Implants

The Contraceptive Implant (also known as an Implanon or Nexplanon) is an excellent long term reversible contraception.

Drs Shellock and Davidson both are able to fit (and remove) them in surgery.

Although the Doctors at ISCA do supply contraception, some women prefer to attend the Family Planning Centre for contraception. The Genital Urinary Medicine (GUM) Clinic is also in the same building in Sidwell Street. GUM Clinics diagnose, manage, treat and screen for sexually transmitted diseases.
